The Center for Crime and Justice Studies seeks to advance public understanding of crime, criminal justice and social harm. The Center is an independent and non-partisan institution, though motivated by core values. They operate as an independent educational charity that advances public understanding of crime, criminal justice and social harm. Through partnership and coalition-building, advocacy and research, they work to inspire social justice solutions to the problems society faces, so that many responses that criminalize and punish are no longer required. They believe that the United Kingdom’s over reliance on policing, prosecution and punishment is socially harmful, economically wasteful, and prevents us from tackling the complex problems our society faces in a sustainable, socially just manner. JusticeAcademy.org is pleased to include this exemplary institution within our collection.
